SHAVUOT RECIPES

 Cottage  Cheese  Muffins 

1-12 ounce box of dry cottage cheese
3 tablespoons of sugar
14 cup margarine  or butter
2 eggs
Pinch of salt
1 cup of flour
2 teaspoons  of baking powder

Place all ingredients in a bowl and miw all together  with a spatula. Grease a 12 cup muffin tin well and fill  each with mixture.Bake at 400 F for 20 minutes.

Overnight   French  Toast soufflé 

16 Slices Bread ( day old chalah may be used)
10 eggs
4 cups of milk
2 heaping tablepoons. of sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Grease a 9 x 13 pan with margarine or butter ( using pam doesn’t work well).Cube bread into 1 inch cubes. Put cubed bread into pan. Mix together the eggs . milk, sugar and vanilla extract. Pour mixture over bread. Cover with saran wrap and place in fridge overnight.

Next day

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Remove saran from pan. Melt ¼ cup approximately of butter or margarine and drizzle over  top of mixture. Place  pan on a cookie sheet  filled with water, Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until you can stick a knife into this and the knife will come clean.

Serve with maple syrup or your favorite topping
