For over 25 and years National Council of Jewish Women of Canada (NCJWC), Winnipeg Section has been baking Hamentashen and preparing Mishloach Manot packages for Jewish Child and Family Service (JCFS) clients.
This year was no different. On March 12, a dedicated group of volunteers met in the Herzlia kitchen and baked over 350 hamentashen and put together over 70 packages. Included in each basket were hamentaschen, cookies, candies, chocolate, tea bags, granola bars as well as a beverage and other goodies. JCFS staff distributed the Mishloach Manot.
Volunteers were: Sharon Allentuck, Rose Aziman, Judy Lipsey, Cindy Lazar, Aida Strocovsky, Silvina Holzman and Iael Besendorf.
Winnipeg Section is grateful to businesses that assisted us with their generous donations.
