Dear Community Members,
We were horrified to learn of the idious attack on Muslims and the mosque in Quebec City. We have reached out to our contacts in the Muslim community in Winnipeg and have asked them to forward the following message to the various Muslim associations and organizations that should know of our stand.
“The Jewish Federation of Winnipeg is horrified and dismayed by the abhorrent attack on the Islamic Cultural Centre in Quebec City. Our hearts go out to the families and friends of those murdered and the injured. The act was particularly odious as it occurred immediately following scheduled prayers in order to inflict the maximum damage. We extend our sincere condolences to the entire Muslim community. This type of terrorism affects us all."
