Don’t turn the holiday sour (hametz),
Don’t busy yourself with the petty
or with the material
Don’t immerse yourself in cleaning
every little corner of the house
Light up the corners of your hearts
Let the good deeds shine
Don’t let the sound of the vacuum cleaner shut out the bell of freedom,
Lest you miss Redemption.
Written by Rabbi Maya Leibovich and Na’ama Dafni-Kellen (based upon a poem by Anat Bishko)
Editor’s Response: Don’t worry, my vacuum cleaner is broken. Just kidding
