Former Winnipegger Ari Cohen (the son of Jerry and Carol Cohen z"l) is a member of the cast in a series entitled “Shoot the Messenger”, which premieres on CBC TV Monday, October 10.
The series stars Daisy Channing, a young journalist who is drawn into the criminal
underworld when she witnesses an apparent gang-related murder. Cohen plays Attorney
General Sam Charles , lawyer and politician who is being touted as a
potential future Prime Minister of Canada. As the CBC website says, "As good looking as he is smart and powerful, Sam’s making the most of his uber-eligible bachelor status dating a string of socialites and models. At the moment, he’s in a hush-hush affair with his assistant Chloe Channing.But that’s not his only secret. He’s been so good lately, and now everything that he’s built could be reduced to dust. Unless he can figure a way out.
