Toronto — Upon learning that hateful messages were spray-painted at a Thornhill Ontario mosque last night, Berl Nadler, Co-Chair of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA), Greater Toronto Region, issued the following statement:

“We unequivocally condemn all acts of vandalism committed against any place of worship. There is no place in Canadian civil society for acts of bigotry and hatred. We have been in touch with York Regional Police who quickly launched an investigation, and we are confident they will do their utmost to bring the perpetrators of this act to justice.”
